In the ongoing designer/client relationship, this home, Project # 3 with this client, is now complete. Starting as a teardown intending to be a small beach cottage for the client’s father in his golden years, this evolved into a larger, multi-structured modern farmhouse. Spacious both inside and out – it’s on a golf course – Indoor/outdoor spaces were as important for the human residents as the canines the father so lovingly cares for.
Ken Linsteadt Architecture, a San Francisco architecture firm, referred by Sudha Marsh Design designed and collaborated seamlessly with her and the client. He created a very special design and sensibility utilizing vernacular farmhouse inspiration enhanced with reclaimed wood sustainably sourced from the southeast US.
