Bayside
Combining the households of a world traveling, artistic couple, we created a sanctuary and home base for their many beneficial activities to move out into the world at large. This was all life changing – for all of us. An environment individually supportive of their gifts, strengths and talents, needs and desires was of utmost importance. A collaborative atmosphere was present which expanded to all who worked on the project.
The end result was a calm, serene environment yet with many lively and inventive details to delight the eye and also usefulness. The design incorporated natural wood elements and ceramic to simulate charred wood. The serene, organic contemporary design decisions highlight the artwork collected from around the world on humanitarian travels of one of the clients, as well as the incredible fiber art created by the other.
